Day 13 - Krems, Austria

Today was all about a visit to Gottweig Abby. Rebuilt in the 18th century, this Benedictine monastery has Baroque architecture & scenic views

A short 10 minute bus ride brought us to the Abbey for a tour. This started with a sample of their apricot nectar and apricot wine, both products that are made by the Abbey. A short film history of the Abbey was followed by a tour of the grounds and then we had a cooking demonstration of making a apricot dumpling.

A early 2pm departure followed by sailing the Wachau valley to our next stop.
